A few years ago something strange began to sprout in my parent's front yard. A tree had died and the hole had been filled with soil from another part of the yard. Out of curiosity my dad left it and we all waited to see what it would be. It became a vine that ended up producing a pumpkin or two just in time for Halloween. This summer when my dad planted a garden he included a space for a pumpkin patch. The kids have had so much watching them develop and color. The other day he had all the grandkids in town over to pick one out. We have previously gone to Gilcrease Orchards for our pumpkins, but this was even better and much closer. Thanks Dad!

As I recall, your dad has always been super cool with holidays. What a great guy.
